THE GLEN OF PACIFIC GROVE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
 SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

September 26, 2004

(Reported by Jim Ray)

Board members Pollock, Rutherford, Rugar & Ray (Grossman was absent) met with Rodger Axt to discuss the issue of employing an ‘inspector’ to assist the Association with the inspection and acceptance of the painting project. Since Rodger has had some difficulty finding an ‘inspector’ the possibility of having Rodger serve in that purpose had been raised.  The two main points raised during our discussion were

1.      The issue of having an ‘inspector has been an accepted point over many of the past Board Meetings.

2.      A high degree of confidence is now held with the current EKIM personnel and having Rodger serve in the ‘inspector’ capacity would suffice.

Candy informed us that the EKIM plan is now to finish the first ‘structure’ (Units 3,5,7,& 9)  before painting any others.

A comprise was finally decided upon where as when that first structure is complete the Association will employ a painter from the company where Rodger works to go over the building and develop a ‘punch list’ of items needing further attention. Based on the length of the ‘punch list’ and the general quality of the work completed on the first structure, the Association will have EKIM continue and either have Rodger review and inspect all structures or if there is any fall off in quality of work the Association will immediately raise the issue with EKIM and find an ‘inspector’ to more closely review the completion of the project.

This comprise was agreed to by Pollock, Rugar, Rutherford and Ray.
